JOB TITLE: Senior Acquisition Program Manager- PNT

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Serve as a senior advisor to government personnel and assist with managing a large team providing multi-disciplinary support to the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Program Office (PNT PO) with modernization of a variety of GPS receivers to meet DoD / civil mandates and DoD / national-level priorities including planning, executing and guiding multiple acquisition programs through development of strategies, documentation, milestone activities; as well as organizing and training supporting staff members.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for providing acquisition management support services to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of acquisition services in support of the customerís mission. Services include some or all of the following:

  • Developing program strategies, statements of work, acquisition plan, and requirements for programs in development and/or sustainment
  • Evaluating development/integration of modernized GPS systems into Air Force platforms
  • Satisfying civil and military mandates associated with Assured Position, Navigation, and Timing requirements related to PNT PO programs
  • Analyzing / reviewing proposal submittals for compliance with established requirements and deliverables

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Masterís Degree
  • 15 years related acquisition experience required, at least 5 of which will have been in leadership positions
  • Level III Acquisition Program Manager (DAU or equivalent)
  • Participated in development, coordination, and execution of major program milestones (preferably ACAT 1 but ACAT II/III acceptable)
  • Extensive experience with defense acquisition management processes as contained in the DoD 5000 series directives
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbally
  • Clear understanding of the OSD and USAF Acquisition organization

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active TS Clearance
  • Former SPO Division Director/Commander or Deputy
  • Experience as an IPT lead in a system program office
  • At least 3 assignments to weapon system program offices
  • Pentagon experience
  • Experience with GPS and GPS integration
  • Understanding of the 804 rapid acquisition process
