JOB TITLE: Systems Test Engineer - GH

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The Air Force Program Executive Officer for ISR & SOF (AFLCMC/WI) has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility for equipping ISR & SOF warfighters to dominate the battlespace. In order to meet current and projected workload requirements in support of AFLCMC/WI, the Government must augment its organic (military and civil service) capabilities within the Global Hawk Division (AFLCMC/WIG) with Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the government in test planning and implementing integrated product and process development using program development acquisition strategy with incremental capability deliveries to the war fighter
  • Assist the government in all the areas of airborne and ground systems to include, but not limited to, requirements decomposition, design, development, testing, production, fielding, acceptance, and support on the Global Hawk System
  • Provide technical support for the testing of Global Hawk systems and payloads to include, but not limited to, definition of objectives, and detailed test plans
  • Review and monitor the Global Hawk Integrated Functional Capabilities and the software requirements for all applicable Program milestones and flight test evaluations
  • Review and analyze system, computer, and software design solutions
  • Review and evaluation of system and software test planning, test processes, and the conduct of system and software tests
  • Implement integrated products and process development using acquisition strategy
  • Review, monitor, and evaluate the Global Hawk deficiency reports (DR), program action request (PAR) process, and DR and PAR resolution process

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Ten (10) yearsí relevant work experience
  • Masterís degree in a field relevant to functional area OR
    • Eight (8) years of additional work experience may be substituted for a Masterís degree; or, four (4) years of additional work experience plus a Bachelorís degree may be substituted for a Masterís degree
  • Experience with air vehicle, payloads, ground segment, and mission planning elements
  • Experience with requirements decomposition, design, development, testing, production, fielding and acceptance
  • Experience with software requirements for Program milestones and flight test evaluations
  • Experience with evaluation of system and software test planning, test processes, and conducting system and software tests
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in development and review of test and evaluation management plan (TEMP)
  • Experience in development and review of test procedures
  • Experience with remotely piloted air vehicles and ground control communication systems
  • Major Defense Acquisition Program experience
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Level III certification
