JOB TITLE: Systems Integration Engineer, Ground Segment (GSMP) - GH


The Air Force Program Executive Officer for ISR & SOF (AFLCMC/WI) has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility for equipping ISR & SOF warfighters to dominate the battlespace. In order to meet current and projected workload requirements in support of AFLCMC/WI, the Government must augment its organic (military and civil service) capabilities within the Global Hawk Division (AFLCMC/WIG) with Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support.


  • Assist the government in test planning and implementing integrated product and process development using program development acquisition strategy with incremental capability deliveries to the war fighter
  • Provide flight and mission critical software support of the Global Hawk System including the air vehicle, payloads, ground segment, and mission planning elements
  • Assist the Government in all the areas of airborne and ground systems to include, requirements decomposition, design, development, testing, production, fielding, acceptance, and support on the Global Hawk System
  • Conduct document review and detailed analysis including weapon system specifications, systems engineering artifacts, requirements management specifications, software requirements specifications, cyber requirements, task assessments, statements of work, etc. required for both requirements review and requirements traceability assessment to identify gaps
  • Prepare and present systems engineering requirements-related presentations or deliverables in a format understandable at all levels in the developmental, acquisition, and operational communities
  • Provide technical support for the testing of Global Hawk systems and payloads to include, definition of objectives, and detailed test plans
  • Review and monitor the Global Hawk Integrated Functional Capabilities and the software requirements for all applicable Program milestones and flight test evaluations
  • Review and evaluation of system and software test planning, test processes, and the conduct of system and software tests
  • Review, monitor, and evaluate the Global Hawk deficiency reports (DR) and program action request (PAR) process and DR and PAR resolution process
  • Knowledgeable in the area of cybersecurity and proficient at confirming system cyberspace capabilities
  • Knowledge of Integrated Security Systems Engineering practices (Anti-Tamper, Supply Chain Risk Management, Application of Cybersecurity Control) and have experience in the development of IATT/ATO Packages (artifacts)


Security Clearance: Secret

  • Must possess a US Collateral Secret security clearance with ability to obtain NATO Secret clearance briefing
  • Masterís degree in a field relevant to international business
    • Eight (8) years of additional work experience may be substituted for a Masterís degree; OR,
    • Four (4) years of additional work experience plus a Bachelorís degree may be substituted for a Masterís degree
  • Ten (10) yearsí experience in International Business
  • Five (5) years of any Seniorís experience must have been performed on DoD programs/projects
  • Able to travel to CONUS or OCONUS locations as needed to support engineering tasks


  • Graduate degree in related field
  • Experience with remotely piloted air vehicles
  • Experience with UAV ground control systems
  • Experience with UAV communications systems
  • Major Defense Acquisition Program experience
  • Air Force program office experience
  • Experience in the application of Risk Management Framework to Air force Platform Information systems
