JOB TITLE: Program Production Analyst – F35 JPO

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Project provides support to the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter Joint Program Office (JPO) located in Crystal City (Arlington), VA. The JPO manages the development, test, production, fielding and sustainment of the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter for the USAF, USMC, USN, and International Partner and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customer nations worldwide.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position directly supports the Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Execution Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead in the Production Division. They will assist in LRIP activities and have insight into the LRIP and Full Rate Production (FRP) as well as the Sustainment planning activities and associated business case arrangements. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Insight into LRIP approach, process, planning & control and management processes including:
    • Development and performance of prime contractor in the LRIP process
  • Identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks in areas involving the LRIP process and requirements
  • Submittal of shipping waiver request to Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) and the Maritime Administration (MARAD) for the Contractor
  • Liaison between the Contractor and the Government Contract Office
  • Brief Production Execution Team Lead, Contracts, Modifications and Retrofit and Configuration Management on items to be presented at the Boards
  • Maintain the Execution Team Lead up-to-date with taskers on the Task Management Tool (TMT)
  • Update the Concurrency Cap Tracker

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

  • Active Secret Security Clearance is Required
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Associate’s degree from an accredited university and an additional four (4) years of experience; or an additional eight (8) years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
  • Eight (8) years of applicable work experience; included in the eight (8) years, there must be:
    • Four (4) years of experience in program management, technical or business analysis
    • Two (2) years of professional experience in technical efforts supporting major weapon systems and components development
  • Two (2) years in support of a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP)
  • Strong knowledge of Service and OSD policy and documentation related to PPBS, life-cycle management of military acquisition programs (as specified in the DoD 5000 series)
  • Established experience in the program/project status and schedules
  • Experience processing program acquisition, funding and contract documentation for military aircraft programs, both domestic and international
  • Working knowledge and experience dealing with DoD reporting tools and major reports
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products
