Team Ships provides the U.S. Navy with a single organization that concentrates knowledge, management skills and buying power for the acquisition and modernization of non-nuclear surface ships. The Team Ships Mission is to design, acquire, modernize, and support the current and future Surface Fleet for the United States Navy from cradle to grave by translating warfighter requirements into combat capability. Team Ships is the combination of Program Executive Office, Ships (new construction shipbuilding) and the Surface Ship Maintenance and SEA 21 Directorate

(in-service ships sustainment). The Team Ships Front Office performs activities that enable the Executive leadership team and all Program Offices within both PEO Ships and SEA 21 to operate efficiently and accomplish the organization’s mission.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides graduate-level instruction of leadership and career development materials to senior level staff members of the Team Ships organization
  • Develops and updates materials to maintain relevancy. Meets with senior leaders to ensure alignment and that desired goals are achieved within training course
  • Analyzes feedback to incorporate improvement in follow-on courses

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Master's degree in management, business, or organizational strategy
  • Minimum of 7 years of course development and providing instruction on management, strategy, or leadership at the post-graduate level
  • Strong communication skills orally and in writing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PhD in management, business, or organizational strategy
  • 15 years of course development and providing instruction on management, strategy, or leadership at the post-graduate level

WORK LOCATION: Washington D.C.

TRAVEL: 10%
