The Aerospace Survivability and Safety Office (704th Test Group (TG)/Operating Location (OL)-AC) is the preeminent aircraft survivability and landing gear safety resource for the United States Air Force (USAF). The 704th TG/OL-AC supports Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition and sustainment requirements through world-class capabilities for aircraft survivability and landing gear systems Research, Development, Acquisition, Test, and Evaluation (RDAT&E), enabling more survivable and safe aircraft operation by the warfighter.

The 704th TG/OL-AC consists of the Survivability Assessment Flight and Landing Gear Test Flight. These two Flights are tailored to their distinct survivability assessment (OL- Aircraft Vehicle Survivability Facility (ACS)) and unique landing gear safety (OL-Aircraft Landing Gear Facility (ACL)) missions. These Flights support their missions through basic Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E), platform integration, demonstration, and Title 10 Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E).

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides test and evaluation of hardware and/or software development. This includes developing and documenting test plans and procedures, conducting testing, and evaluating and documenting results. Prepares studies, plans, and analyses in support of the program.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

  • Active Secret (DoD) clearance required
  • Bachelorís Degree in electrical, aerospace, systems, or mechanical engineering
  • 10 years of experience in test & evaluation planning, execution, data recording & reporting
  • DAWIA Level III, Test & Evaluation
  • Familiar with a variety of the test & evaluation concepts, practices, and procedures

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masterís Degree in electrical, aerospace, systems, or mechanical engineering
  • Survivability and/or lethality testing
  • Modeling & Simulation experience

WORK LOCATION: Wright-Patterson, OH

TRAVEL: 15%
