JOB TITLE: Test Engineer - MQ-9

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

AFLCMC / WII is responsible for the development, test, production, and sustainment of the MQ-9 UAS. This project provides Life Cycle Sustainment in the product support areas to include Supply Support, Maintenance Planning, PHS&T, and Tech Orders for MQ-9 and associated systems. This position provides advisory and assistance services support to the government program office at their Wright-Patterson AFB operating location.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the PM in providing test interface support between the program office, test centers and the Contractor, as required, to facilitate uninterrupted test activity of aircraft research, development, production, and lifecycle acquisition and sustainment activities
  • Assist the PM in supporting the establishment of an Integrated Test Team (ITT) that will be responsible for developing the Test & Evaluation (T&E) strategy and guiding the development of integrated test plans
  • Assist the PM in preparing and coordinating ITT Charters, Test Concepts, LDTO designation letters, Test and Evaluation Strategy (TES) and Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) as required.
  • Assist the PM by providing advisory assistance in the review and coordination of test plans and reports
  • Assist the PM in providing test representation to AFMC, ACC, AFOTEC, HQ AF/TE, SAF/AT&L, and Director, Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E)
  • Assist the PM by providing advisory and draft documentation support in preparing test budgets and monitoring test expenditures in the conduct of system level tests
  • Assist the PM by providing draft documentation support preparation of test status briefings for the program office and higher headquarters, as required
  • Support the Lead Test Engineering Support requirements as may relate to FMS responsibilities or other special projects as directed

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Top Secret/SCI

  • Active TS/SCI clearance (or Inactive, but current within 5 years)
  • Masterís degree in relevant field
    • Eight (8) years of additional work experience may be substituted for a Masterís degree; or, four (4) years of additional work experience plus a Bachelorís degree may be substituted for a Masterís degree.
  • Ten (10) yearsí experience
  • Five (5) years of any experience must have been performed on DoD programs/projects

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Unmanned Systems (UAS)
  • Experience in planning, conducting, and or managing flight, ground, integration, and or laboratory testing operations

WORK LOCATION: Wright-Patterson AFB, OH
