Project personnel will support Acquisition Program Management, Project Management, and Strategic Management, for PEO-EIS, the Naval Enterprise Network (NEN) Program Office (PMW-205), and the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program Office (PMW-220).
Project personnel shall provide support to include:
Major Acquisition Information Systems (MAIS) program management expertise to support, guide and to advise Program Managers and PEO-EIS in successfully accomplishing program objectives via milestones and acquisition decision events.
Apply knowledge of DODI 5000.02, SECNAVINST 5000.2E and Business Capability Lifecycle (BCL) to the development of program acquisition deliverables.
Research and analysis of IT acquisition issues. Develop sound recommendations utilizing applicable laws and statutes, Department of Defense/Department of the Navy (DOD/DON) regulations and implementing directives, Acquisition Category (ACAT) I Major Automated Information System (MAIS) Program documentation requirements, IT Service Management and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) frameworks, total ownership cost goals and applicable IT industry standards.
Program milestone schedule development to support, guide and advise PEO-EIS and Program Managers in successfully accomplishing program objectives via Milestones and Acquisition decision events. These include but are not limited to the following reviews and decision points:
Support and participate in acquisition, production, transition and integration efforts conducted at working group meetings, Integrated Product Teams (IPT) sessions, in-process reviews, and other meetings, prepare meeting materials and briefs and summarize programmatic impacts.
Assist with preparing, reviewing and delivering reports including but not limited to the following:
Review Congressional Reports and Acts of Congress for proposals/statutes that impact the PEO-EIS portfolio.
Three (3) years experience with Department of Defense Acquisition Activities for ACAT I MAIS programs, acquisition policy and regulations.
Two (2) years of this experience in direct support to acquisition program offices or similar organizations.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (An additional 4 years of specialized expertise may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree). Degree preferably in Engineering, Systems Management, IT Systems Technologies, or Business Administration.
DAWIA Level III certification in program management or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
