PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The project provides support services for the Army Futures Command (AFC) Headquarters and subordinate/direct reporting units in the planning and management of the full range of operations activities for mission execution.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in keeping the Army Futures Command informed of the status of Army validated requirements
  • Assist Resource Management (RM) in integrating requirements validation and approval planning into a cohesive program that can be used to control program authority at the AFC HQ level
  • Review and ensure coordination on all requirements documents and program plans submitted by assigned subordinate elements
  • Assess metrics for AFC and review the collection and reporting of a variety of system performance metrics for Army Modernization activities and the integration thereof
  • Review metric identification and collection methods for consistency with industry and academic best practices
  • Advise AFC staff elements and subordinate elements on matters relating to assessments and associated metrics
  • Advise on metric collection and assessment efforts and assist in the interpretation and presentation of analytical findings and conclusions

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

  • Active DoD SECRET clearance
  • Bachelors degree
  • Seven (7) – Nine (9) years experience in a knowledge management role
  • Four (4) years additional relatable experience can substitute for education

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience is supporting operational and/or strategic Army staff
  • Experience reviewing and staffing of Army acquisition program baseline documents and execution for managed programs
  • Thoroughly familiar with organization and operational function of Headquarters of the Department of the Army (HQDA) and Army Futures Command
