JOB TITLE: Information Technology Program Analyst- DHS


The objective is to support business processes and projects to meet Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Acquisition Management and Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) requirements and facilitate leadership oversight of IT investments to ensure they are aligned with the agency mission and measure performance in a meaningful way to produce improved results across the enterprise.


Individual will be a member of a team of subject matter experts assisting Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in development, integration, implementation, and operation IT management process. The Individual will support team activities in a fast-paced and continually evolving operational environment providing management, administrative and functional support. Support responsibilities include:

  • Support a broad range of management consulting activities to maximize value of IT investments and maintain management controls
  • Assistance planning, collecting information, and preparation of briefing materials to conduct Program Management Reviews
  • Assistance in monitoring and tracking action items and routine reporting requirements
  • Assistance using established OCIO processes, dashboards, and workflows for managing IT programs
  • Assistance in maintaining up-to-date lists of IT systems and projects
  • Assistance identifying and aligning missions, goals, objectives at portfolio, investment, project, and system levels
  • Assistance conducting reviews and assessments of new IT capability to address user business process needs
  • Assistance assessing the IT requirements integration into the OCIO IT portfolio
  • Assistance in responding to internal and external data calls for IT programs and policy compliance information
  • Assistance to ensure compliance with Federal, OMB, DHS and Secret Service guidance and policy regarding implementation of IT programs
  • Assistance coordinating and scheduling project meetings
  • Assistance drafting, revising, and processing IT project documents and correspondence


Security Clearance: Secret

  • Secret security clearance
  • Bachelorís Degree from an accredited college or university
  • 5 yearsí customer support/administrative support experience
  • Experience performing support of the complex systems
  • Experience managing or performing systems customer support
  • Experience in capability and requirements analysis
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities as necessary to fulfill the government clientís objectives
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral technical communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products


  • Degree in in Information Technology, or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Experience providing technical advice to evaluate potential technology solutions that address system capability gaps and requirements
  • Experience managing support of IT systems
  • Familiarity with acquisition policy and processes
  • Familiarity with program management policy and processes
  • Experience in the use of SharePoint and SharePoint content management
  • Experience organizing, scheduling and providing administrative support for meeting
