JOB TITLE: Systems Engineer, Senior

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The project provides comprehensive training, contractor logistics, operator, and sustainment support services, to include material procurement, for equipment and capabilities in the contiguous United States and outside the contiguous United States to support Integrated Base Defense (IBD) and Force Protection (FP) family of systems (FOS).

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interact with system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design. Participate in the development of test strategies. Solve engineering problems (or managing the solution of engineering problems) in the functional area to which assigned.

  • Review existing Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) programs and provide solutions to issues usually related sustainment engineering, including investigating root causes of errors or failures, identifying alternatives for end of life components, and creating and maintaining documentation
  • Manage the full life cycle of mission systems with a focus on sustainment engineering to support existing systems by researching, reviewing design, assisting procurement, cataloging, installing, and maintaining of Force Protection Systems
  • Collaborate with logistics and operations support team members, government customers, and vendors to facilitate operational improvements and provide reach-back support to perform troubleshooting, maintenance, documentation distribution, sparing, and health reports

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

  • Active DoD Security Clearance
  • BA/BS with Eight (8)-Twelve (12) years of experience (15 total years of applicable experience in lieu of a degree.)

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience writing technical documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and creating training materials
  • Experience preparing Engineering Change Proposals (ECP)
  • Experience addressing diminishing manufacturing sources and materiel shortages
  • Previous working knowledge as a Technician for BETSS-C, HMDS, FMV, IBD-K, FP-Suite, JDOC, RDISS and ECP systems
