Global Force Management Analyst-I MEF G-3

JOB TITLE: Global Force Management Analyst-I MEF G-3

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

"This position is contingent upon contract award"

This task order focuses on operational planning services in support of the I MEF G-3 Operations and G-5 Plans divisions. Operational planning support includes, but it is not limited to, strategic, operational, amphibious, and Joint/Combined Training and Joint Exercise Event Life Cycle (JELC) planning and assessment support.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze I MEF’s capacity to provide forces, advise on sourcing solutions and management of force generation for I MEF forces
  • Participate in Operational Planning Teams and Working Groups are required
  • Analyze products in support of quarterly Force Synchronization Conferences (FSCs) and Force Management Summits (FMSs) including Risk-to-Force/Risk-to-Mission, Deployment-to-Dwell, and USMC Risk Matrix analysis
  • Provide recommendations regarding I MEF alignment of Man-Train-Equip efforts in accordance with higher headquarter requirements and current capabilities and readiness of the units sourced
  • Provide recommendations for I MEF’s Global Force Management solutions and optimization of manning, training and equipping required forces for deployment as required
  • Attend FSC and submit the I MEF Post-FSC Validation Message as required in the deliverable table
  • Draft official correspondence related to global force management
  • Draft and send information messages as required in the deliverable table
  • Support the documentation of meetings
  • Document trips as described in the deliverable table
  • Create draft of routine work products (typically administrative or informational products) as requested by the Government
  • Provide the I MEF Planners’ Huddle Products Direction and I MEF G-3 Huddle Products Direction

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

  • US Citizen
  • Secret Clearance or higher
  • Bachelors Degree (BS/BA) [6 years' additional work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Associate's Degree plus four (4) additional years' experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree]
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in Global Force Management
  • Experience in the Marine Corps serving at the MEF MAGTF, Fleet, MARFOR, or major subordinate command level or other service equivalent
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with the Marine Corps Planning Process or Military Decision Making Process or other service equivalent
  • Familiarity with Marine Corps Service-level concepts and doctrine and campaign plan design or other service equivalent
  • Experience with Naval Integration, Joint Operations/Expeditionary Operations (e.g., MEUs, SPMAGTFs, PBTFs)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop products, briefs, orders, policy at an executive level (e.g., three-star staff level or higher)

WORK LOCATION: Camp Pendleton, CA
