JOB TITLE: Systems Integration Engineer- PNT

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The individual will support the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Program Office (PNT PO) with development, modernization, and sustainment of a variety of existing GPS receivers / GPS related systems to meet existing DoD / civil mandates and DoD / national-level priorities by planning, executing and advising technical aspects of several acquisition programs at various stages of the acquition life cycle.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for providing technical management and engineering support services to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of GPS related efforts in support of the customer’s mission. Services include the following:

• Assist with development of requirements, program strategies, statements of work tasks, and systems engineering plan
• Conducting engineering trade studies and technical analyses
• Evaluating development/integration of modernized GPS systems onto Air Force platforms
• Assessing civil and military mandates associated with Assured Position, Navigation, and Timing to ensure satisfaction of Gov’t requirements
• Technical proposal review/analysis

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

• Candidates not meeting ALL of the following criteria will be assessed on a case by case basis:
• Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering
• Experience with software-intensive electronic commodities
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuits, systems design (HW and SW), and control theory design
• Knowledge of applied electromagnetics, antennas, wave propagation, signal processing and encoding
• Knowledge of aircraft avionics integration and communications bus structures
• Modern Systems Engineering and Requirements Management processes (i.e. Model Based Systems Engineering, etc.)

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10 years related program office engineering / acquisition experience
• Experience with defense acquisition management processes as contained in the DoD 5000 series directives
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbally
• Understanding of the OSD and USAF Acquisition organization
• Airworthiness certification experience
