PROJECT OVERVIEW:  

This position is contingent upon contract award

Provide the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations (DCNO) for Information Warfare (OPNAV N2N6) in its role as the Department of the Navy Deputy Chief Information Officer-Navy (DDCIO-N) with contractor service support to assist with Information Technology Efficiencies management. 

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide general program management support to the DDCIO and staff across multiple programs and policy formulation working groups. Specific tasks include:

  • Assist N2N6 in coordinating and conducting Navy governance forums and boards. This will include scheduling of pre-brief events; development of support materials such as agenda, topic briefs, and summary reports; maintenance of event distribution lists and point of contact data; management of use of collaborative tools supporting governing discussions and senior leader events.
  • Assist the Echelon IIs and subordinate commands with all FAM PfM processes to include: application migration process, application waiver process, application selection and business case analysis processes, enterprise license process, and application server and network consolidation processes. Support coordination with Echelon II subject matter experts (SMEs) to conduct data accuracy verification and validation of all application information in Department of the Navy Application and Database Management System (DADMS).
  • Produce various reports, briefs, charts, naval correspondence utilizing Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Prepare letters and memoranda for forwarding to higher authorities and outside organizations per applicable government directives, instructions, and writing guides. Maintain records or files of correspondence.
  • Handle classified material in accordance with the rules set forth in SECNAVINST 5510.30A, Department of the Navy Personnel Security (PSP) regulation. Handling includes identification, receipt, storage, distribution and destruction of said material.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

  • SECRET clearance.
  • Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience participating in general business services and related projects.
  • Ability to manage diverse taskings.
  • Familiarity with DoD and Navy information assurance, information security, information technology, or cybersecurity requirements, policies, and processes.
  • Proficiency with executive correspondence and Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Support staff experience at Joint Staff, OPNAV, HQMC, Army, Air Force, SPAWAR or Program Executive Offices (PEOs)/Program Offices directly supporting information assurance (IA), information technology (IT), information management (IM) or cyber programs.
  • Experience with creation and maintenance of information databases, tracking information and program progress, and creating summary reports.
