JOB TITLE: Concurrency Manager – JPO

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Project provides support to the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter Joint Program Office (JPO) located in Crystal City (Arlington), VA. The JPO manages the development, test, production, fielding and sustainment of the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter for the USAF, USMC, USN, and International Partner and FMS customer nations worldwide.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position directly supports the Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Execution Integrated Product Team (IPT) and leads in the Production Division. The Concurrency Manager will be the liaison between the Contractor and the Government Contract Office. They will assist in the accomplishment of LRIP activities and should have full insight into the LRIP and Full Rate Production (FRP) as well as the Sustainment planning activities and associated business case arrangements. Responsibilities to include the following:

  • Understand the LRIP approach, process, planning & control and management processes
  • Insight into development and performance of prime contractor in the LRIP process
  • Identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks in areas involving the LRIP process and requirements
  • Submittal of shipping waiver requests to Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) and the Maritime Administration (MARAD)
  • Brief the Production Execution Team Lead, Contracts, Modifications and Retrofit and Configuration Management on items to be presented at the Boards
  • Maintain the Execution Team Lead up-to-date with taskers on the Task Management Tool (TMT)
  • Update the Concurrency Cap Tracker

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

  • Active DoD SECRET clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITION: An AS or AA degree from an accredited university and an additional four (4) years of experience; or an additional eight (8) years of experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree.
  • Eight (8) years of experience in program management, technical or business analysis discipline
    • Included in the eight (8) years, there must be at least four (4) years of experience in program management, technical or business analysis; and
    • included in the four (4) years, there must be two (2) years professional experience in technical efforts supporting major weapon systems and components development
  • Two (2) years in support of a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP)
  • Demonstrated experience in the program/project status and schedules
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Service and OSD policy and documentation related to PPBS, life-cycle management of military acquisition programs (as specified in the DoD 5000 series)
  • Experience processing program acquisition, funding and contract documentation for military aircraft programs both domestic and international
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience dealing with DoD reporting tools and major reports
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products
