JOB TITLE:  Acquisition Logistician - EGI 

PROJECT OVERVIEW:  

  •  Acquisition Logistician supporting the Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Program Office (PNT PO) with modernization of a variety of existing GPS receivers to meet existing DoD / civil mandates and DoD / national-level priorities
  •  Duties include supporting identification, documentation, and implementation of acquisition and sustainment related activities in support of Program Office strategic plans, program milestones and any required program office briefs and reports.
  •  Support the overall project lead and provide support to Integrated Product Teams, conferences and meetings
  •  This position will be assigned to government offices at Robins AFB, GA

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Responsible for providing acquisition logistics support services in support of the customerís mission. Services include some or all of the following:  
  • Provides support to the generation/review of logistics documentation including the following: LCSP; Core Logistics Analysis; DSOR assignment; Logistics Assessments; Product Support Business Case Analyses; IUID Plan; PESHE; PWS, and work specs.
  • Performs analysis of GPS efforts, makes recommendations related to maintainability, reliability and logistics supportability when assessing preliminary and critical design reviews and technical proposal evaluations.
  • Assist with studies, reviews and analysis of technical problems/malfunctions affecting assigned equipment generated from a variety of sources such as Deficiency Reports, Material Improvement Project Packages, etc.
  • Maintains Technical Data and provides technical assistance to operations and maintenance units in resolving complex avionics systems and electrical equipment problems.
  • Provides technical support for assigned Avionics systems and modifications.
  • Analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, technical manuals, and technical data; and, identifying and analyzing complex technical problems and developing innovative solutions. 
  • Support the coordination of all integrated logistics support elements to ensure all such requirements for the program are identified and tailored to the GPS program needs
  • Support the program office through acquisition / sustainment phases of the life cycle
  • Prepares briefings as necessary in support of Government informational and decision meetings

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelorís Degree
  • At least 7 years related acquisition logistics, planning or equipment specialist experience in USAF and/or DoD programs
  • Participation in development, coordination, execution of major program milestones (preferably ACAT 1 but ACAT II/III acceptable)
    • Experience with defense acquisition management processes as contained in DoD 5000 series directives, AFI 63-101, and AFPAM 63-128
    • Excellent written & verbal communications skills
    • Clear understanding of the OSD and USAF Acquisition and sustainment organization

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 years related experience
  • DAWIA Certified Level II Acquisition Logistician
  •  Experience with GPS systems in a program management and/or logistics management capacity
