JOB TITLE: Acquisition/Records Management Analyst - F-35 JPO


Project provides support to the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter Joint Program Office (JPO) located in Crystal City (Arlington), VA. The JPO manages the development, test, production, fielding and sustainment of the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter for the USAF, USMC, USN, and International Partner and FMS customer nations worldwide.


The Acquisition / Records Management Analyst will support the technical capabilities and business arrangements of the program life cycle for the ongoing System Development and Demonstration (SDD) phase and other Development Projects by conducting the following:

  • Plan, coordinate and maintain SDD contract negotiations
  • Conduct business data analysis of program information to ensure compliance with regulations, identify trends, and provide information to IPTs based on Air System Development IPT Lead guidance
  • Apply expert analysis techniques across a wide range of qualitative and quantitative analytical methods, contact functional experts to coordinate on the research and analysis, anticipate, identify, conduct research and analysis, and recommend strategies and concepts of operation for major emerging and projected issues
  • Provide assistance and advice on initiatives related to Air System Development and develop a feasible implementation plan for the assigned organization
  • Conduct special studies of problem areas which may have an impact on the Program while suggesting means of process improvement
  • Participate in working groups to plan and develop internal strategies to address management issues and concerns regarding improvement processes, coordinate with other staff to fully understand the needs of and effectively support specific business and people
  • Research new or improved business and management practices to support changes in organizational programs and operations
  • Support the Air System Development IPT by gaining insight into, and providing peer review of technical and programmatic activities of the Contractorsí Team with respect to Air System Development


Security Clearance: Secret

  • Active Secret Security Clearance is required
  • Bachelorís degree from an accredited university in Business or Management. Allowable substitution:
  • Associates degree from an accredited university and an additional four (4) years of experience, OR;
  • An additional eight (8) years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelorís degree
  • Eight (8) years of experience in program management, technical or business analysis discipline; and included in the eight (8) years,
    • There must be at least four (4) years of experience in program management, technical or business analysis; and included in the four (4) years, there must be two (2) years professional experience in technical efforts supporting major weapon systems and components development
  • Two (2) years in support of a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP)
  • Demonstrated experience in the program/project status and schedules
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Service and OSD policy and documentation related to PPBS, life-cycle management of military acquisition programs (as specified in the DoD 5000 series)
  • Knowledgeable of process improvement techniques, workforce transition/workforce transformation, leadership alignment, strategic planning, strategy facilitation, and stake holder analysis/assessment
  • Ability to work with key and senior members of the organization and interface directly with clients on design and implementation of recommendations
  • Must have experience processing program acquisition, funding and contract documentation for military aircraft programs both domestic and international
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience dealing with DoD reporting tools and major reports. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products
