JOB TITLE: Program Manager- PNT

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

This position supports the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Program Office (PNT PO) with ongoing modernization, development, and sustainment of a variety of GPS receivers and user equipment to meet existing DoD / civil mandates and DoD / national-level priorities by supporting identification, documentation, and implementation of acquisition and sustainment related activities to plan, develop and implement program strategies, milestone preparation is support of government execution of programs at Robins AFB, GA

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for providing acquisition management and related skills to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services in support of the customer’s mission. Services include the following:

• Identify, analyze and make recommendations concerning acquisition processes, trends, and emerging needs
• Evaluate program and mission requirements, courses of action, and integrate these activities with other program and functional elements within the program office and outside organizations
• Prepare / review program documentation, including acquisition plans, development and production schedules, engineering change proposals, and design studies
• Perform designated activities for assigned projects and identify problem areas for further study and evaluation
• Provide higher level management with status and decision information on assigned programs/projects

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

• Active Secret Clearance (or eligibility to obtain Secret Clearance within a prescribed timeframe)
• Bachelors Degree
• 7 years related Acquisition experience
• Experience in development, coordination, and execution of major acquisition documentation and processes associated with program milestones (preferably ACAT 1 but ACAT II/III acceptable)
• Experience with defense acquisition management processes as contained in the DoD 5000 series directives
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Clear understanding of the OSD and USAF Acquisition organization

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certified Level I Acquisition PM (DAU or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting an Acquisition System Program Office within AFLCMC (or predecessor), AFSPC, SMC, or similar US Army / US Navy offices
• Experience with GPS systems and aircraft/avionics integration
