JOB TITLE: Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

WBB is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst position in Huntsville, AL.

Provide cybersecurity services in support of the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site - Remote Operations Center. Reagan Test Site (RTS) operates and maintains a technologically advanced suite of sensors including radars, optics and telemetry sites around the Atoll that are used to collect mission-critical test data on various missile systems being tested.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful applicant’s primary job responsibilities will include supporting the accreditation of RTS’s Platform IT equipment and software upgrades, act as a security controls assessor for RTS’s assess only packages, and serve as a subject matter expert for the RMF process.

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluate networks, IT components, and weapon system for compliance with published guidance including DoDI 8500, DoD 8510, NIST SP 800-30, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53 Revision 4, NIST SP 800-137, CNSSI 1253, other RMF, and DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) documentation
• Perform vulnerability and STIG compliance scans to include Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Security Center & Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) Compliance Checker (SCC)
• Interface with information system security officers and managers, including reviewing documentation, such as Systems Security Plans (SSPs), risk assessment reports, authorization packages, and Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms)
• Generate Security Assessment Test Plans (SAP) and articulate Cybersecurity Assessment findings in technical and non-technical way to customers
• Evaluate static source code assessments, identify coding issues across the system, remove false positives, and validate developer mitigation statements
• Review dynamic application scans and assess risk levels based upon cybersecurity architecture and mitigations
• Research open source, government off the shelf, commercial software looking for supply chain issues and known vulnerabilities

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Security Clearance: Secret

• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, information systems, or other related fields
• 8570 IAT Level II certification or greater (e.g., CompTIA Sec+)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 RMF controls and eMASS

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Fortify code scanning experience
• Experience on a software development team using static code scanning tools and addressing results with developers
• Experience working on a security controls assessment team assessing RMF controls
