Navy Business Process Improvement Manager - OPNAV N83

JOB TITLE:  Navy Business Process Improvement Manager - OPNAV N83


Support the Navyís Perform-to-Plan (P2P) process as a Readiness Planning and Performance Analysis process to improve Navy Readiness by clearly articulating performance gaps, identifying barriers to execution, and developing potential solutions to achieve an integrated, enterprise approach to Readiness recovery as outlined in the National Defense Strategy.


Assist teams with understanding cause-and-effect relationships and conduct root cause analysis on problem areas using a Process Improvement Methodology:

  • Develop and facilitate a methodology to select performance areas for root cause analysis
  • Develop and leverage process improvement frameworks to support root cause analysis as needed (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Business Process Reengineering)
  • Identify industry benchmarks and best practices relatable to performance deficiencies and recommend courses of action to remove encountered barriers.
  • Facilitate the Commands development of a corrective action plan and implementation timeline to meet CNO readiness goals.


Security Clearance: Secret

  • Secret Clearance
  • 7+ years of experience with commercial and/or government (U. S. Navy) organizations in the areas of process improvement, driver based performance management, strategic planning, and program design


  • Bachelorís degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, engineering, information technology, or organizational change, certified in BPM and U.S. Navy fleet experience
  • Four yearsí additional experience substitutes for a Bachelorís degree, a Masterís Degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, engineering, information technology, or organizational change in equals 4 yearsí experience
  • Experience in Operations Research and/or Data Analytics 


TRAVEL: 20% (Norfolk, VA and San Diego, CA)
